Britta is a highly regarded clinical counsellor with extensive experience working with youth and families. She graduated from the University of Sydney, majoring in Philosophy and International Relations, and then achieved her master’s degree in Psychotherapy and Counselling from Western Sydney University.
Britta is mainly trained in Person-Centred Therapy, Internal Family System (IFS), and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT). She is passionate about combining her knowledge in Post-Milan Systemic Therapy, Attachment-Based Family Therapy (ABFT), and Emotionally Focused Family Therapy (EFFT) to provide holistic support to families.
Having experience working with clients struggling with ASD/ADHD, school refusal, DV/SA, and clients with self-harm, suicidal ideation, clinical depression, dissociation, or substance abuse, Britta is highly aware of the impact of Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) and inter-generational trauma. She is extremely passionate about social justice, social equality, and their impact on mental well-being. As a former foreign correspondent and project manager working in Beijing, California, and Sydney, Britta integrates her own lived experience in her clinical work and is excited to work with clients from diverse cultural backgrounds.
